Learning Resource Centres (LRCs) in Bangladesh’s TVET institutions house comprehensive collections of print books, electronic resources, audiovisual materials, and equipment supporting polytechnic diploma programs, vocational certificates, and BNQF/NTVQF competency-based training. These centres facilitate reference, loan services, and information literacy programs essential for DTE/BTEB-affiliated institutes nationwide.
Under Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) guidelines, LRCs integrate digital platforms like tvetacademy.online with physical collections, providing access to AI-driven learning modules, VR simulations, and Industry 4.0 curricula. They support teacher training at Technical Teachers Training College (TTTC), skill assessments, and research for 64 Technical Schools & Colleges and 49 Polytechnic Institutes, bridging urban-rural digital divides.
Bangladesh LRCs advance Digital Bangladesh through blended learning infrastructure, equipping 17.18% TVET enrolment (targeting 25% by 2025) with modern resources aligned with National Skills Development Policy. They foster RPL recognition, work-based learning documentation, and SDG 4 equitable access, transforming vocational libraries into dynamic competency development hubs
