Digital competence frameworks provide structured guidelines for developing essential digital skills among TVET teachers, learners, and citizens. They outline proficiencies in areas like information navigation, content creation, communication, safety, and problem-solving to integrate technology effectively in vocational education. These frameworks, such as UNESCO-UNEVOC’s resources including DigComp and DLGF, ensure competency-based digital literacy aligned with Industry 4.0 demands.

In Bangladesh, digital competence frameworks support BNQF and NTVQF reforms by the Directorate of Technical Education (DTE). They enhance polytechnic curricula with teacher training programs, addressing youth employability gaps through inclusive digital skills development. This aligns with national TVET digitization initiatives and SDG 4 for equitable access to quality vocational training.
