Adapted infrastructure refers to education facilities designed to be fully accessible and inclusive for users of all abilities, including persons with disabilities. It ensures independent access, movement, and safe use of facilities such as classrooms, toilets, and water points. In Bangladesh, the government and development agencies are promoting adapted infrastructure within Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions to enhance participation, safety, and equity in learning environments. Such infrastructure supports the national goals of inclusive education and aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 4) on quality education for all.
